Who is Metal Free Dental?
Metal Free Dental was started in July 2009 by the team of people who originally established Global Eagle Medical Corporation (GEMCO) in South Africa, which was the first attempt at developing a dental milling center in Africa.
Metal Free Dental is a fully registered lab which is committed to the supply of world class dental components and products for the dental industry. Where precision is our passion and service is our pleasure. We are here to provide a cost effective way to our clients in digital dentisty to ease the process and to save our clients the financial burdens of the expensive digital systems.
Our digital platform DX4 is available to almost any form of scanner/intra oral scanner files to ensure that even laboratories without digital facilities can still deliver digitally captured prostheses

More sophisticated technology and software were required to produce a range of products to suit the growing requirement for a developing Zirconia market in Southern Africa. MFD decided to try and satisfy a portion of the demand for these products, hitherto supplied from Europe, by procuring the latest CAD/CAM software and highly accurate milling equipment.
Many hundreds of hours have gone into the development of implant based abutments and interfaces and other products which are becoming increasingly popular in demand.To date MFD has produced in excess of 125 000 units comprising of crowns, bridges and implant abutments.
